I created the Mystic Fern medicines to bring memory, healing, and awakening to those who dare to venture into the cracks and crannies of the deeper parts of existence, for that is where the hidden light that is essential for rejuvenating the energy systems of the earth and the human are waiting for your return.

These medicines came to me in the in between spaces. When I sat upon the dead leaves and bumpy, rocky stones, listening to the spring waters releasing from the mountain side and watching the ferns unfurl their spirallic magic. They came one by one, entering through me like a call to my soul, beckoning a wildness that lives within each and every being, a wildness that has been dulled and quieted throughout recent time, longing to be re-enlivened. The medicine first entered in through me, musing itself into the cells of my body and the structure of my bones. The journey was slow, in rhythm with the natural timing of a world that has been lost to modern fragmentation. Piecing together the steps through the labyrinth that journeys through the underworld, and arrives at the jewels that live inside. 

There is a story told through the progression of six medicines ~ Unlock, Passage, Ethereal, Synergy, Harmonics, Miracles. You can take the journey through the Mystic Fern Medicines in order, or pick the medicine that most resonates with where you are currently at in your journey and go from there. There is no right way, no wrong way, only your way that will lead you to the treasures that are yours to find.

Unlock

The journey begins at the doorway, a portal that requires a key to enter. The unknown lies ahead, uncertain as to what is inside. When the door is open, what will appear, where will you go, what will you become? The craving for newness, for change, for touching another earthly mystery. This is what sparks the traveler to set out on the journey and discover through trail and error. Nothing is guaranteed, nothing is promised, other than an experience into the unknown.

To unlock the door and open to new ways of being, one must first sit in what is, what has been, and what one needs to be untethered from. This medicine, with knotweed and rhodochrosite, asks for you to untie the knots that your soul has become tangled in, to find the hidden key that was there all along, you just couldn't see. Karmic untangling, letting go of what no longer serves you, and being brave enough to open your soft, squishy, vulnerable heart and other parts of you to see the opportunities that are presenting them selves. Releasing yourself from old trauma stories and healing the wounds of your past so you can find the blessings and gifts that will open doors to new pathways.

Passage

Once the door is unlocked, it is time to move forward and explore. Passage guides you through the the process of locating your navigational compass and clearing the way to 'know' where to go, how far, and where it is taking you. Cutting through the thickets, removing the debris, and strengthening your directional abilities. This is a spiritual process, clearing the emotional and mental field, as well as a physical process in clearing phlegm and fluids that have built up in the body so the passageways are clear. This medicine relieves stagnancy by activating movement.

Nettle and sapphire open the space for you to sense clearly. Open your senses to receive the signals being transmitted, that perhaps before the clearing you missed due to the clutter.

Ethereal

As you move along your path, you gain greater clarity. Your muscle memory starts to awaken. You notice more details, fine tune your receiver system, and begin to interact with the more subtle realms. The ethereal light of nature begins to awaken to light your way. In the underground caverns of the earth (and your psyche) you start to see the light web of creation. The whole world looks like magic. How did you not see this before? Everything glitters and shimmers with the simple beingness of nature. 

Iris and star andara activate your inner child, the parts of you that were shunned and told to be quiet, go away, that's not real. Your imagination starts awakening. You see the threads of light that weave creation. This medicine activates that inner sight, your spiritual sight. You learn how to light up from inside of yourself. Synergy

The joy of creation and innocence of your true nature have integrated and now you are aware of the vast complexities of what exists. It is bigger than you, beyond you, yet you still have some semblance of control over the ways you interact and respond to the bigger world. This is synergy. The alchemist blending the elemental forces to make something new, the sorceress bending the laws of nature to comply with the visions that have appeared in the mind, the maturation process of understanding that everything exists, and nothing at all, and what are you going to do about it?

Nothing is better or less than, but still, a certain order is necessary for it all to work. This medicine activates the inner intelligence system within you to release yourself from the dominatrix world of top to bottom hierarchical programming and reposition into the harmonic hierarchy  of the natural world.
